Dongle information

Some of Optical Diagnostics' software products use a dongle (hardware key) for copy protection. This dongle is a small USB device that needs to be present in the computer running the software.

An advantage of the dongle is that with a single software license, you can and are allowed to use the software on multiple computers.  The only restriction is that you cannot run the software on more than one computer at the same time.  This may come in handy if you have multiple offices, or if you are normally working with a workstation, but sometimes would to take the software with you on a notebook.

Updates

If you need to
 

• use a new version of the software,
• extend an expiration date,
• add some modules to the software,

the information contained in the dongle needs to be updated.  To update your dongle, please contact us.
